The problem I see with national parks is the air pollution.
There are many factors why I think so. One I would like to discuss is tourist
travel thousands of miles to see some of nature’s beauties. Nature can be
pretty neat, but when there is smog in the air and the visibility is blocked,
it can be pretty shameful for those who created that smog. I would be pretty disappointed
to see nothing but smog when attending great Smoky’s national park. Another
issue on air pollution is that the smog is not healthy for the environment. It slowly
kills plants and wildlife as well as contaminates the purest mountain water.
These issues should be acknowledged but I don’t know if there’s quite anything
you can do about it. There are other more important issues in the world
currently at this time.
Yes Jake, air pollution is a mega debbie downer on our National Parks and it is very sad that we as humans can't whip ourselves into shape to help make it better.
ReplyDeleteHow do you encourage people to enjoy the beauty when their carbon footprint of getting there is so high?
ReplyDeleteI hate to think of myself as a tree hugger, but I totally agree. I like to think of myself as a wilderness hugger. We need to preserve our wilderness. Like the species of animal that are now extinct, if we can't protect our national parks then we could possibly lose them forever.
