Conor O'Brien-Recreation and Leisure

Recreation can be defined as an activity that one does for enjoyment, without any real commitments to the activity. The activity is usually involves being active, but doesn't necessarily need to be. Activities can vary from hiking, biking, dancing, rafting, camping, and sports. Recreation should be exciting, but not stressful.
Leisure activities are activities done in spare time purely for relaxation. these activities should not be strenuous or intense but laid back. Reading, walking, watching television, or playing video games are good examples.

  1. I completely agree, recreation and leisure are what we look forward for in our day. Without these, we would have no motivation.

  2. What do you think about people who do not have leisure/recreation in there day. The folks who work 18 hours a day and sleep at their office?

  3. I believe the no commitment point is key to recreation because often people get too obligated to a sport and then its no longer fun as recreation should be.

  4. I concur with you and Kelli. Recreation is something that someone should love to do when they have free time, but feel no obligation or commitment to it.
