March Madness

       To be honest, it is really hard for me to believe that the 134 million dollar decrease in productivity can all be contributed to the March Madness tournament. I feel that the time of year probably has much more to do with it.

       This study agreed and stated in addition that the more an individual followed the tournament the less productive they would be. An interesting point that this study made was that by watching the tournament  the employees increased their cohesiveness.This article suggests to management that the cost of cracking down on employees would exceed the cost of loss in productivity.
